Kyaw Htoo Bala (b. 1992, Myanmar) brings introspection and contemporary resonance to the forefront of his artistic journey. A Fine Arts graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore (2014-2017), Bala navigates a range of mediums: painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, collage, and digital art to explore themes of identity, society, and self-reflection.
His debut solo exhibition took place in Yangon in 2017, marking the beginning of a career rooted in both local narratives and global dialogue.
In 2021, Bala established Monologue Art Space in Yangon to foster artistic collaboration in a rapidly evolving landscape. Monologue Art Space was moved to Chiang Mai in 2022. His work was selected for “The 2022 Sovereign Asian Art Prize” exhibition and was successfully auctioned at the event.
